Refit of packaging machines
Packaging lines run 24/7 with minimal downtime tolerance. GCG replaces obsolete controllers on cartoning, palletising, vacuum and blower machines from Syntegon (ex-Bosch), Multivac, Krones and Sidel, preserving the packaging cycle and CE certification.
Packaging: 24/7 with hygienic requirements
Packaging lines in food, pharma and consumer goods run continuously with minimal tolerance for unplanned downtime. A faulty controller on a cartoning or palletising machine can bring a complete production line to a standstill. The controller is also directly involved in production documentation: serial numbers, batch codes and weights are recorded by the machine.
Syntegon (formerly Bosch Packaging Technology) was divested as an independent company in 2020 and acquired by CVC Capital. The Bosch service organisation for older machines was not transferred. GCG supports as an independent refit partner for Syntegon (Bosch), Krones/Kettner legacy, Multivac R series and Sidel SBO blowers.
Supported packaging OEMs
Syntegon (ex-Bosch)
DE/NLBosch Packaging Technology became Syntegon in 2020. Bosch service contracts for the Bosch-generation machines have lapsed. GCG replaces the S5/S7 controllers on Syntegon cartoning and flowpack machines.
Multivac R145/R230
DE/NLMultivac R-series thermoformers with Siemens S5 or early S7-300 controllers are end-of-support. GCG replaces the controller preserving packaging profiles and sealing parameters.
Krones / Kettner
PL/DEKrones is active but Kettner-branded packaging lines fall outside the standard Krones service contract. GCG replaces Kettner controllers as an independent partner.
Sidel SBO
NL/DESidel SBO blowers with obsolete PLC controllers are found in NL and DE PET bottling. GCG replaces the controller preserving blowing profiles.
Tetra Pak
NLTetra Pak filling installations with Allen-Bradley PLC-5/SLC-500 controllers in NL dairy. No bankruptcy, but a massive legacy fleet with no OEM support.
S5 → S7: Syntegon and Multivac fleet
Many Syntegon (Bosch) and Multivac packaging machines run on Siemens S5 or early S7-300. See the migration overview.
