Welke platforms naderen end-of-life?
Drie fabrikanten hebben productlijnen officieel afgekondigd. Vervangende hardware is nog verkrijgbaar, maar support en reserveonderdelen lopen af.
S7-300 / ET 200M
Product Milestone 410 per 1 oktober 2023. Reserveonderdelen naar verwachting beschikbaar tot circa 2033. Duizenden installaties in NL/DE actief. Migratie naar S7-1500 + TIA Portal is de standaardroute.

Product Milestone 400 circa 2015. Leeftijd 20-30+ jaar. Geen originele reserveonderdelen meer. Emulatoren beschikbaar als overbrugmaatregel, maar geen langetermijnoplossing. Migratie naar S7-1200/S7-1500.

PLC-5 officieel discontinued juni 2017. SLC 5/05 discontinued maart 2024 (meest recente variant). Rockwell biedt Silver Support aan, maar geen nieuwe hardware. Migratie naar ControlLogix 5580 of CompactLogix 5380.

Platform-specifieke migratiepaden
Migratie van S7-300 en ET 200M naar S7-1500 + TIA Portal. Lifecycle-overzicht, spare-parts horizon, en stap-voor-stap code-migratie.
S5-installaties 20-30+ jaar oud. Migratieroutes naar S7-1200, S7-1500 en S7-1500T (kinematica). Code-translatie en I/O-mapping.
PLC-5 discontinued juni 2017. Migratie naar ControlLogix 5580. Ladder-to-Structured-Text conversie, I/O-chassis vervanging en Remote I/O ombouw naar EtherNet/IP.
SLC 5/05 discontinued maart 2024. Migratie naar CompactLogix 5380 of MicroLogix 1500. Behoud van bestaande paneelbedrading.
Cutover-strategie: gefaseerde ombouw per machine of lijn, met FAT op simulator en minimaal SAT-venster. Nul ongeplande downtime.
S7-400 beperkte beschikbaarheid na 2030. Migratie naar S7-1500H voor high-availability processen. Planning en risicoafweging.

Elke migratie volgt drie stappen. Productie loopt door tijdens de voorbereiding; de cutover duurt zo kort mogelijk.
